If you are in Russia or Belarus per https://www.ea.com/news/update-on-electronic-arts-titles-in-russia-and-belarus , you can purchase on steam providing the accounts are linked and the ea account is not presently disabled for purchasing ( that is a different type of disabled to not being able to purchase per the link )

I am in Russia, yes, sadly. But the subscription is not available for purchase via steam. We can only download free version of the game. Thats why I wonder whether using VPN or sharing the account is allowed or not, to buy the subscription through swtor client.
