Your swtor account has been disabled for purchasing, this is due to the linked EA account has had its data wiped due to long term inactivity
The linked EA account was created at the same time as the swtor account was created , and will likely use the email address used on account creation ( this is most likely the case unless you have changed the email on the EA account previously)
the email address needed for the linked EA account was a Yahoo email address that needs to be entered in the below password reset link
, then use this link to reset the password on the linked EA account and then login on that account to get it restored.
This is similar to trying to restore a deleted account per the bottom of https://help.ea.com/en-au/help/account/close-ea-account
Let me know if you think you have sorted the account and i can recheck the account
if you have no clue and cant get this sorted then you will need to call swtor support when the lines are open and they can update the details on the account for you
I have though changed the email on my swtor to one that I currently use. Is there any way I can use that email to recover?

you can try and recover the linked ea account via raising a ticket at help.ea.com for cant login to an "origin" account
otherwise call swtor support when the lines are open , they can update the email on that account for you , just be aware only the english line is open on monday due to a bank holiday

@proxos666 Hey there, I have same problem I have bought 60 day one time subscription on STEAM but game shows me as nonsubscriber. I did all steps described in HQ no result so I try to buy subscription directly on SWTOR but there was this communicate about EA account issue so I sent email to SWTOR support with all needed screenshots attached but they said that they can't help to resolve account and subscription problems via email and provided me only phone numbers to 4 countries (non of them is my own) I also tried as final test to redeem codes for free items with the same communicate about EA account issue - so it's deffinately EA problem not STEAM. Then I found your answer about deleting or disabling account for purchases for long time non activity and I think that's the case. I returned few days ago after few years not playing in SWTOR and yesterday I bought that subscription time. Also I have 2 different emails for SWTOR and EA account is that problem too ? Can U help me?
P.S. I also have written to STEAM support and they confirmed that purchase was succesful and I should receive from EA/SWTOR email with code to use on SWTOR website so that's another step showing that problem is on EA/SWTOR side cos I didn't got any mail with code from U guys.

To fix the account You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account uses the same email as on your swtor account
use the following link (insert the swtor email) to reset the password then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared
let me know when sorted and i can chase up the steam gametime
Edit: steam are incorrect there is no email with a code being sent
