One of my quests is to go back to my ship back I have no idea where or how I can get back to it. People have been saying stuff about some lake poison place but I can't find it or how to get in it.

To get back to your ship on Taris, use the Quick Travel point to Toxic Lake Garrison if you are Imp side. It will be the place you landed at when you first arrived on Taris...
