SWTOR Windows 10 Launcher GUI wont launch outside of safe mode!

Basically the launcher wont open anymore and comes up with no error. Ive tried ending it in task manager, adding firewall rules, reinstalling the game, using the launcher repair utility, (LauncherRepairUtilityD2.0.1), the launcher works in windows safe mode with networking but past logging in it doesn't download the game. The real issue is it doesn't work in normal windows mode like it doesn't boot up at all but if I could AT LEAST solve the issue of getting it to show the interface on normal windows boot after double clicking the icon that would solve my problem.

Any ideas to get it to boot the interface on normal startup of windows?

Ive read a ton of other help related issues on the launcher none of them worked most would advise the firewall or the launcher fix utility (LauncherRepairUtilityD2.0.1) they didn't work so I started my own post to see if I could get help personally. A clean install of windows might fix this but I want to see if I could fix it without going through the hassle of reinstalling everything on my computer so if anyone has any solutions besides a clean install of windows that u know could work that I haven't tried don't be afraid to post here and tell me!🙂

    @rara_orly Were you able to get launched and logged in yet?

    If you still need to sort out the Windows Firewall, you can open the start menu and type in Firewall, and one of the results should be "Allow an app through Windows Firewall".

    The two application files you need to add are:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\swtor\retailclient\swtor.exe

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\BioWare\Star Wars - The Old Republic\launcher.exe

  • Bumping this up again, even though it says Solved.

    I'm having this very same issue, I tried everything suggested all over the web, including this guide https://answers.ea.com/t5/Troubleshooting-Guides-Info/Guide-quot-How-to-install-Swtor-Correctly-and-address-Windows-10/td-p/4851036 and nothing helped whatsoever so far, Launcher.exe process just hangs on for a few seconds while I'm checking Task Manager and then simply closes, with no message at all, only twice I saw Windows' troubleshooting manager, tried it too, nada, zilch.

    Also, I changed update download method from Bitrade to SSN, I had way better experience having it like this in the past. I downloaded a game partially too, but interrupted it due to too late in the night yesterday.

    As the topic says, I can start launcher.exe in Safe Mode with Networking only.

    Attaching two so far created log files.

    @SylvaeDragon

    noted you are short on HDD space at one point, mind that should have nothing to do with the launcher appearing

    If you have tried everything mentioned in this thread and other links then maybe a in-place repair may be worth a try, see this link  for windows 10 as an example this keeps all user data and programs intact.
