Nothing's listed at all, it actually seems like it's registered this as the first time I've installed Windows.
Take the system to a complete clean boot per this link , this will help narrow down if something is conflicting

Alright, I've done a clean boot. What must I do now?
Sidenote: thanks for putting up with me so far

Ok go to the swtor folder and copy the launcher.setting file to the desktop for now
Then use this utility and run in the swtor folder , after that copy that launcher.setting file back to the swtor folder and then start the launcher and see what occurs

I'm having a bit of troubles comprehending the instructions for this, could we possibly use another service to more easily communicate real time?
Instructions in question:
'The Launcher Repair Utility places the directory it is initially run in in the Destination Folder field by default. You can either move the .exe to the appropriate Game Install folder (see default locations below), or change the information within the Utility after it is run. Default locations:'
'Then use this utility and run in the swtor folder' - proxos6667 years agoHero+
Copy that repair utility into the swtor folder and just run it there.
After this open a command prompt as administrator and type the following command
sfc /scannow
Check windows updates given repairing C++ too
unfortunately it is after midnight here so my bed time, i still think this is a C++ error of some kind
Check the event viewer too for anything listed

I'll get back to you after the scan is finished. Thanks for sticking with me so far, and my sincerest apologies for keeping you awake. I have no idea why this game so veherently doesn't want to work even though I've played it on this computer before. - ApprovedAnonymous7 years ago@proxos666
The scan turned up finding nothing, event viewer as well. If you must leave, I can completely understand as this can be continued at any time. If you have any other instructions, I'll try them, if you must get off, best wishes.

It is odd there are no listings in the reliability monitor or the event viewer for this error
Can you uninstall malwarebytes just to be sure it isn't blocking the program
- ApprovedAnonymous7 years ago
Hi, sorry for the wait, I had some problems yesterday and couldn't write a message back.
I've tried uninstalling malwarebytes, tried disabling my firewall and it all came back inconclusive. I'm starting to worry that my error might be a bit more advanced than I was hoping.

Grab the setup from www.swtor.com/download
now first copy the launcher.setting file to the desktop again , run the setup over the top of the existing install , then if it tries to update with bitraider again, close the launcher and copy the launcher.setting file back so you remain on non streaming.
worth a shot
I still suspect this is C++ related , i am hoping the setup will run the C++ it needs
If needed though uninstall all C++ and re-install them from this page

Its just to run the setup over the installed game
