Okay, so, a friend asked me to play with them in game. I'd been paying monthly for a subscription although I've not actually played in a few months.
I decided to patch up the game and at least peek my head in, but once it finished patching, and clicking to enter, I got error code 7. I've researched this, though most of the posts were at least five years old. Most said to update video card drivers to fix this. I knew my drivers were the latest from Radeon, and so I tried a few other things. I did a scan and repair? Nope.
I tried closing and re-entering the launcher a few times to see if it needed to be updated? Nope.
Then I tried installing the game over my current install location. Not that either.
Finally, I took an annoying and long process of totally uninstalling my radeon's drivers and then after the reset, reinstalling the latest drivers, the hope being the uninstall of all drivers might clear up past driver clutter. After another restart, this also, did not work at all.
I'm frankly getting to be at my wits end, I'd love some help fixing this. I don't think any of my drivers are outdated, as I've tried updating everything in device manager but they all said I had the most current version available. I have windows 7 x64, a radeon hd 7770.. so, my computer may not be the best but it's always been good enough to play this game.
Oh, and I also do not have bitraider installed that I can see, I used the work around to get back into the game in the past, because all of a sudden bitraider was preventing me from entering the game. I'm getting to the point of considering dropping my subscription. Sure I wasn't playing before, but if I don't even have the option of playing a game I'm paying for, I don't see the point of continuing to pay. I'd really rather not drop my subscription, so please, any help would be appreciated. I've done everything I could think of, short of uninstalling totally and reinstalling the game, I even run the SWTOR launcher's exe in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 3.
Below, I included a text file for my dxdiag.
