Test Server, Shae Vizla will be opening in the APAC region beginning April 3rd!

  • Compared to an existing server, how is the performance? I would say it's a little bit better. When it comes to ping, for the most part I get around 200 to 400 ms while on Satele Shan, I get 300 to 20000ms especially at 8 to 10pm +8GMT
  • Any specific areas or planets where you feel the performance has lessened? I haven't had any experiences of lessened performance on any specific areas or planets.
  • What region/country do you reside in? Philippines
  • Provide a comparison of ping from existing servers to Shae Vizla. My main toons are in Satele Shan, i get lows of 300ms to highs of 27000ms. 300 to 400ms when I play morning or afternoons but around 8pm to 10pm, I get terrible ping of up to 27000ms making the game unplayable. This happens more than thrice a week. As for Shae Vizla, I get around 190 to 700 ms but an average of around 200,
  • Is grouped content working properly? I haven't tried any group content.
  • How quickly can you get into a match or Flashpoint you’ve accepted? Haven't tried
  • Is travel to any location (planet, Stronghold, Fleet, etc…) hindered? None that I experienced.
  • Are there any issues with the UI such as missing assets or loss of functionality? None that I experienced.
  • Are there any issues with visuals or sounds with the cinematics? None that I experienced.

    As mentioned in this article Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ to open test server hosted on the cloud!, we will analyze all the data and feedback received from the testing period to determine if another test phase is needed or if we will move forward with moving all of our current live servers over to AWS. We will communicate next steps after our analysis is complete.
