Trying to subscribe error, will not accept card

Coming back after a break, and am trying to resubscribe. Have tried both 1-month recurring and the 60 day non-recurring options, and I've gotten the same error. Something about not being able to use the card I gave. Never had an issue anywhere else with the card, including other subscriptions.

Looking at the payment history on the SWTOR site it shows a long string of numbers and letters @ disabled (dot) ea address. Which obviously is not what I use.

Seen some other things about resetting the EA account password, and the SWTOR and EA accounts being linked but I can't find anything to see if they are linked. I updated the email address of my SWTOR account (2-ish years ago) since I try not to use the previous email anymore, not sure if that is affecting it, and it didn't give me any information or warnings about linked accounts if that is the case when I updated the email.

Not sure what the issue is, but it is annoying. I've had these accounts (EA and SWTOR accounts) for years, and have previous subscription time and purchases on my SWTOR account, even though it has been dormant for a while.
