Tried linking my Steam account to SWTOR today, but I keep getting an error message that says "We can't log you in. Please double-check you're using the Steam account you usually play on and try again".I only have one Steam Account, and it's not letting me link it. I was able to play on it through the Steam client just fine two nights ago when I reinstalled it, but then it started telling me today it needed a one-time password, which would be sent to my email. It never sent the email the three times I tried logging in, then I discovered my old SWTOR account, and went through the hassle of adding an authenticator app to it, then tried the linking process on EA's help page, which lead to the error above. I have also attached a screenshot of said error.Please help... This is getting frustrating.

@83587569e9a500a6 I dont knowwhat else to say , that error only exists when another swtor account is linked to the steam account your original post indicated you played on a swtor account then couldnt get the otp email then found your old account if both accounts where accessed from the computer you are on, go to Press the [Windows] Key + [R] at the same time Copy the following in to the text box and press ok %localappdata%\swtor\swtor\settings in their there will be 2 displayname_account.ini files one for each account

Well, there's two. But, here's the kicker. They have the same name, only one has "dev" at the end of the name.

The thing is, a friend gifted me a sub as well as some Cartel Coins over Steam... I don't want to lose access to them, so I'll try to reach out to support.

is it possible that swtor account has been played on another steam account ? did you have a look at https://account.swtor.com/user/steam and see if any steam account was linked ?

That page doesn't open for me... So... Can't look to see if my steam acc is linked to any other account... Guess I can't play SWTOR anymore

I am having the exact same issue, I decided I fancied trying to play again but I would prefer to play on Steam.

I used to play a bit on Origin, but I'm now returning to try the game again and I want to play on Steam.
When I log in, I get an error message, "We can't log you in. Please double-check you're using the Steam account you usually play on and try again."

How can I link my Steam account?

My SWTOR account has never been linked to a Steam account, and I do not have any other accounts. I have logged in via browser and the Steam account option says there are no accounts linked.
" There is no Steam account linked to your Star Wars™: The Old Republic account. "

The help pages are devoid of any helpful information, any ideas or is this something I have to put a ticket in for, I'm reaching the point where I don't really think I can be bothered anymore.

I have also followed the above instructions to check local files, I have only two account files, one with the name and one with the dev suffix. This is the same one I am trying to log in to. I don't have any other accounts, Steam or SWTOR.

Is it possible this is something caused by the recent CrowdStrike issues, perhaps either directly or indirectly through third party API's etc?
