Unable to Patch or Install 4.4: Profit and Plunder

I've tried and tried again, with all suggested things. Clearing DNS, Diskcheck, etc. I've opened ports, I've added exceptions to my AVG. Countless things.

But It just wont do anything. The issue is though I don't get an error message. It just sits. No progress, No pause button, no KB/s.

The games worked before this, so I really don't know why it isn't now! I'd love to play, but this is really annoying to have to deal with.

    Okay the Link to Owens (proxons) description seems malefaction so I copy it here.

    You have to do this thoughtfully.

    Be sure the Game has no running Processes.

    Source here (my original thread in swtor forums)  (returned to my original directions to avoid folder bloat)

    NOTE: This is almost a new game download

    right mouse click on game shortcut and select open file location

    open the launcher.settings file in notepad and locate the below line

     
    , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }"

    Change to:

    , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }"
     
    and
     
    , "bitraider_disable": false

    Change to:

    , "bitraider_disable": true
     

    SAVE the changes.
    Delete the BitRaider, Movie and Asset folders then start the launcher


     if you have the old version still on another computer , copy all the game folders over to this computer

    Sorry been away for the weekend, switching to non streaming is one option, given the symptoms check this in future first may avoid a new game download.

    No download will proceed with this disabled
