Unable to retrieve server list

so since April 17 when i put the game onto my computer i have had nothing but issues when i try to log in, i get to the server screen and nothing, just a black screen with a blank server list box that sits there for a bit then a message pops up saying "Unable to retrieve server list. Please follow the help center link below for more information. If problem persists, the game client will close." as shown in the screen shot attached, swtor support has been completely useless because they ask to send in information but don't even read it apparently because all they say is "It is an ISP issue contact them" yet i know for a fact it is not my ISP because my girlfriend uses the exact same connection i do and she has 0 issues with logging into the game, i have already done everything from a dns flush and using the google public dns to unistalling the game 4 times and even doing a factory reset, nothing works and this has been an ongoing issue with swtor for 4 years that they refuse to admit is their fault, so i am asking people that have had this issue in the past and fixed it, what did you do to fix the problem?

ok, I installed the HSS program and when I start the launcher it's appeared a new update, strange, but maybe is some missing files, I hope that work.

well, I want to know if there is some way to block the advertising windows which opens sometime after I activaded the HSS. It is a bit annoying

So the server list appears ok when using the VPN ?

hotspotshield is ad supported as the free version, paid version doesn't have this

The free version is Ideal to test with, you are not meant to use the VPN in the long term but you can try using something like Adblock Plus possibly to block the ads.

The only way to confirm 100% this is a routing issue as indicated by the VPN making things work is to connect that PC to another ISP and see if all is good without the VPN.

Essentially somewhere between your ISP and the Server side is a broken internet path, normally these self resolve anywhere between minutes and weeks.

unfortunately no, after the game update finished, I launched the game, but the server list didn't fix even with the HSS activated, but thanks.
