unauthorised charge

I put my card details in and clicked the next button to pay, then i was told that they weren’t able to connect with the provider however they charged £1. I tried this two more times on a different account and the same thing happened. I gave up and asked my mum to do it and it worked on her card and she was charged the right amount. I want a refund for the £3 that i was charged for nothing.
