Voice Desync
Hello, Some time around the first week of April of this this year I began to experience character voices being desynchronized from their animations during in-game cutscene conversations. I searched ...
if you can provide a dxdiag per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Guide-Posting-a-DxDiag/m-p/4832663/highlight/true#M70799
would be handy , i also presume you have system power options set to high performance ?
Great thanks. The motherboard was the last frontier I was afraid to approach due the consequences it can have. No, I placed the power plan back to the default HP recommended power plan. Although the HP recommended power plan has min/max processor power at 100%.
Attached is the dxdiag text file.
playing swtor always recommend using high performance, but as long as there is no visible difference to the one you have set then it also doesnt matter
am going out for a while now , but quick look at the dxdiag shows crashes with the Dolby Theatre software you are using (DTSAPO3Service.exe) , which is related to sound , whether it has bearing on the desync not sure
I appreciate your analysis. That crash report does not surprise me as I sometimes have to reset my audio devices several times for the SWTOR sound to kick in. I do not have this issue with other applications. Approximately two days ago I was disconnected from the server in the middle of combat (rarely this happens) and was able to successfully log back in after exciting the game and starting it up again but no matter what I did the sound did not kick in until I restarted my PC.
Like you said, not sure if related but worth a mention.
Support are unaware of any bug causing desync with the audio
One thought is if this is via the bose headphones, the headphone audio could desync, this is an issue with the headphones as opposed to the game
