So we are halfway through phase 3 and 15 people have not scored a point. We do tier 4. What do yall do to keep people going without having to kick out half of your guild? I know Nihilus is annoying...

Yes, some people want everything to be easy, thats true, but I am not one of those people, I enjoy a challenge.... It took me around 100 tries to get 7* R2 and I loved every minute of it..... But phase one of the raid is just ****..... Toons don't work as intended.
The fact that basics up nihilus protection is just dumb, sure, maybe it would be ok if there was side targets to hit.... But that isn't always the case.... Standing there with no choice but to use a basic with just nihilus present feels cheesy imop..... If the rewards were halfway decent, it would be worth it, but they aren't.... I participate for my guild and not for fun.... That's not a good thing in a game....
That does reduce your damage a little but if you gear your toons and get their damage up it isn't that big of an issue. And while it can be annoying, it isn't broken. Basically it gives you two choices. Use toons that can do more dmage than they add for protection or use toons that have more special abilities. And there are side toons. If you only use weak basics on them they can be there for quite awhile.
