#2 Misrepresented Characters: Kit Fisto update 3.0 : got small buff still useless...not arena viable

"Patience, both of you. A second look usually pays off."
-Kit Fisto

Quick History Lesson
Kit Fisto was a Nautolan Jedi Master during the last years of the Galactic Republic. He was among the Jedi who participated in the Battle of Geonosis and was one of the few survivors out of the 200 who traveled there.

He became a Jedi General in the Clone Wars and took part in such conflicts as the Mission to Vassek's third moon and the Battle of Mon Cala. He was also involved in a mission with his former Padawan Nahdar Vebb to capture the escaped prisoner, Nute Gunray—however, the two ended up facing the notorious Jedi hunter General Grievous inside his lair. While Vebb perished at the hands of the General, Fisto very nearly bested him in combat, and escaped with his life, but without Gunray, ultimately making the mission a failure. At some point during the Clone Wars, Fisto accepted a seat on the Jedi Council.

While he was at the Jedi Temple, Anakin Skywalker revealed to Mace Windu that Chancellor Sheev Palpatine was a Sith Lord. Windu and Fisto, alongside Jedi Masters Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin flew to Palpatine's office to arrest him. In the following duel, after Kolar and Tiin had perished, Fisto was killed by the Chancellor.

Abilities of Kit Fisto
A master practitioner of Shii-Cho, Kit Fisto was considered to be one of the best swordsmen in the Jedi Order. His mastery of the form was advanced, and he applied it in many battles and duels, always with his trademark smile. He went head to head with many of the most dangerous adversaries of the Clone Wars and survived. A notable opponent was General Grievous, whom Fisto almost defeated, as Form I's specialization against multiple foes, or in this case, multiple weapons, was well-suited to holding off the four lightsabers Grievous' bizarre mechanical anatomy allowed him to wield. Fisto's quick thinking and speedy reflexes enabled him to recognize vulnerable body zones on his opponents and react immediately, as shown when he cut off Grievous' legs and later one of his hands during their duels. He was also competent in the use of Form IV lightsaber combat. His versatility and weapon skill was such that he could ably apply it towards the usage of dual-blades, or even lightwhips.

However, Kit Fisto was not without his weaknesses. Form I was ideal when heavily outnumbered and effective against many opponents, but a single opponent was able to find flaw in it, and this proved to be Kit Fisto's downfall. Against Asajj Ventress on Ord Cestus, he simply wasn't quick enough with his blade to deal with the Makashi specialist, and Shii-Cho was considered weak against Form II in any case. His final battle against Darth Sidious ended with Fisto's death, as—despite Fisto's own power and skill—he simply wasn't able to compete with Sidious. However, Fisto managed to last longer than his fellow combatants, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin, being able to block several of Sidious' vicious blows before falling.

Fisto's lightsaber contained two crystals employing a bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse that allowed the blade to operate underwater. This proved helpful on Mon Calamari during the Clone Wars. He wielded a green blade, the traditional color of Consulars.

Having been trained as a Jedi Consular, Master Fisto was adept in the use of the Force. For instance, he was capable of creating and manipulating water currents through use of the Force for both offensive and defensive purposes. Fisto developed his own Force technique from this ability, aptly named the Force water orb, which he used during the battle of Mon Calamari. He was the only known practitioner of this power, having created it himself. He also possessed an acute olfactory sense, allowing him to read the emotions of other sentients.

Fisto was also skilled in the use of Force speed and on Ord Cestus, his Force enhanced speed baffled even Obi-Wan Kenobi's experienced gaze. Fisto was also an extremely skilled swimmer and honed his Jedi abilities to take advantage of his amphibious origins, making him a lethal foe underwater as well as on land. Also, he was skilled in hand-to-hand combat, holding his own against Riff Tamson in an underwater brawl although he was unable to defeat him.

My Opinion

Gear 10 7* Kit Fisto

* Pro
- Good health
- speed is ok

Cons
- Aoe does almost no damage and only has a chance to provide a buff that isn't really useful.
- His basic does very little damage and his double attack has a low chance ( it takes two of his basics to equal a normal basic)
- He doesn't represent Kit fisto at all as he was king of handling multiple attackers.
- He is built like a tank including the damage of a tank but is an attacker.
- took me almost 2500 dollars to collect enough shards to 7* him.
- one of the hardest to gear.
- No synergy to Aayla

* For him to be useful he needs an overhaul based on his lore*
- Base it on AOE damage
- finding weaknesses
- stronger the more enemies are around

This one is more personal to me than anything because he is one of my favorite Master Jedi next to Yoda. He is a wet noodle atm and i will spear head getting him some love.

Please read this before voting
Atm he is a chromium exclusive requiring 1000s of dollars to get him 7* but like QGJ he will be moved over soon (farmable for all) with others comming out.

Take a few minutes before voting as he is really under developed and seems he was rushed.

I know i will have the support of our GOH Guild and The forum Community. Also thanks to all that helped with the the tank thread and it has been sent off. :)

An Idea From A Fan @Wholf
With the recent, 'buff', and the fact the posts in the characters section have gone quiet, I'm going to post here.

Long story short: we all know the minor buff he got this patch isn't going to change anything. People still won't do anything but test him and then out him back in the corner. He needs a rework, one that hits on his key points as an extremely talented JedI, wielding a saber with extreme precision; and, like quite a few have mentioned, gives him synergy with Aayla Secura.

So below you will find my take on this:

*Note: all ability descriptions are displayed as if they are max rank and kit is at an unmodded level 80, gear X specification.

Lightsaber master: Deal physical damage to a single target with a 65% chance to attack again. If he does, the second attack will also deal 10% of the targets maximum health as bonus damage. The first attack has a 40% chance to gain 25% turn meter, the second has a 30% chance to gain the same.
(I feel like the damage of each attack should be 2.5k or so for a non crit on a well armoured opponent, RG for example. With less damage variance than most characters as his dual hit will Govern the variance. so one hit would be reasonably below average, and two hits would be in a suitable spot. This also reflects well into the second ability and passive I designed below.)

Turn the tide: Kit attacks his target with his basic attack, his allies follow suit and will each attack seperate enemies. Kit deals 15% extra damage for each enemy on the field, this applies to his first attack only. Each ally deals the numeric extra damage kit dealt as bonus damage in addition to their own. If seperate enemies aren't available, his allies will target one at random and deal 50% less damage. Cooldown: 4 turns.
(If the damage of the basic is adjusted to my specifications, kit would deal a minimum of 4,375 damage on a single, non critical hit whilst there are 5 enemies on the field. Which would boost his allies damage by 1875. This will scale up with Kits critical hit. So if kit crits with the base multiplier of 150% he would deal 6562 damage and grant allies a bonus of 2812 damage.)

Superior bladework: kit has a 70% chance to counter when attacked and half that chance to counter when a Jedi ally is attacked. If multiple allies were to proc this ability, kit will only counter once, but will deal 20% bonus damage for each additional proc (including his own, bonus only applies to the first hit)
If Aayla secura is on his team, kit will always counter when she is attacked, likewise, Aayla will always counter when kit is attacked.

That is what I would like to see done. Something unique, something fun, and mostly, something usable, that would cause players to actually spend money for him directly and want to take part in the 'kit fisto.' Event.
