Why is it we get a new character they are broken the best team on D in GAC and we see 0 incoming nerf to remove it. like the highest win rate lv 75% and my all r9 colnes and r10 lv lost to r9 stranger and rest at r7 with maul,visas,barrissk. FIX YOUR GAME. why does stranger stop lord vader and bane. this makes 0 sense this is the dumbest team on D since Dark side rey had a FDC.l
It's the business model. They release a new overpowered character. Competitive players need it, so they pay. Repeat. It's not supposed to be a balanced game, it's a pay to win one.
They did fix their game. They fixed it so the consumer is absorbing the cost of the increase for the license fee they have to pay to Disney. They will rebalance the income again once the EA takeover by PIF and Kushner goes through and they get their notice that SWGOH will be carrying the 20 billion in debt they will owe. That will be passed on to the consumer as well. This is a pay model game.
I am a bit shocked you are having difficulty with stranger on defence. Are you targeting starkiller first? Plus there is a Barris DC which could make it a little more tricky with that line up. I had determined he was best for offence as I easily cleared him, but he is clearly powerful on offence. I mean to steal away starkiller which I have used for GL counters for a long time his team would need to be.
In general new toons always tend to have a great period after release, they often have DC’s which boost them and we are getting used to mechanics which may be simple to pick apart once we figure them out but may trip a lot of people in the mean time. I have often stuck new stuff on defence initially, if I don’t understand a kit yet, make it someone else’s problem until I do.
Hopefully if you drop a battle, you can figure out a better strategy next time. More powerful relics or even GL vs non GL does not immediately give a win, but if the LV win rate is currently 75% I would say it’s a good counter but perhaps some are not executing it correctly yet.
Except you don’t need to pay to get stranger…. He’s a conquest toon. Any mid game player doing hard conquest can prioritise conquest and benefit. Starkiller and Maul are old toons.

The trick of The Stranger is that Maul is not his companion. He's just a "placeholder" for Spider-Maul.

I know where Spider-Maul is expected to sit. But I don’t understand how that alters Stranger being FTP at this moment in time, he’s perfectly functional without Spider-Maul.
