To my overall player experience? You are wrong. Others may agree with you, that doesn't make them wrong. For me, I want a practice mode. I enjoy this game. I enjoy trying things. I do not like trying things for the first time ever in a competitive environment. I would pay to have a practice mode.

However, a practice mode will widen the gap between players who want to dedicate a lot of time to the game and others and i’m no sure it’s a good thing. Nothing will prevent a player to play in practice mode an entire gac round before playing it for real, several times to find the most efficient use of your roster with the most banners. Actually, it will be the smart thing to do, even if it will be incredibly time consuming. I don’t think you can compete against someone ready to do that if you don’t do it yourself. I’m not sure rewarding such time consuming experience is healthy for the game.
Well, if you look at Conquest, it actually rewards two kinds of players: spenders, and those who are willing to grind and can afford the time/schedule. This whole game actually works like that. Nothing in this game you buy gives you a permanent advantage. You are really paying to save time.
