A bitter aftertaste

I don't know how you're going to fix the problems after the Ezra rework and the Andor situation, but after this, there's almost no desire left to play or support the game. Basically, the guild is the only thing keeping me in the game.

You forgot to mention that some people bought LSB for NS as a way for "cheap" Jabba counter

  • I got all zetas and omicrons. You did realise theres so much refunded that you had to scroll down separately on the right hand side to see it all?

The bitter aftertaste is the roster that you have after nerf.  Observe the lost opportunity of heading in a wholly different build direction for the past 12 or 18 months.  The impact is significantly more than the toons nerfed

That pre-nerf roster was constructed over many months and involved many individual toon decisions.  You read the abilities as advertised.  Relied on those statements.  Made investment choices with your game resources and your money.   Then, the nerf just takes an important piece away with the barest of refunds.

That pre-nerf roster, which relied on a strong Ezra and Merrin for core strength, low cost counters and flexibility, now faces the latest generation of paywall new content, which is unbeatable absent more spending and proper Datacrons.

EA is very clear on this business practice.  Paying for early access or to rent a super in-game advantage is allowed and encouraged.  Playing the game for a long time and making wiser resourcing decisions while relying on the words as originally advertised, well, you must be nerfed for the good of the game.  This nerf raises community trust concerns voiced above and elsewhere

I recall the community excitement of CLS release and G12    I am not getting any of that excitement from new pay walled content, Era limited battles, and new logistic puzzles to solve when gaming resources are rebalanced    All for the game evolving and new content, and nerfs are part of the game

This nerf, however, is enormously significant and most significantly affects end game players that invested in a well known roster strategy to build strong Rey, GLAT and NS squads —- while opting to not invest elsewhere over many months.   Nerfing is a taking   And this nerf is a large one

Zetas should have ABSOLUTELY been refunded since Ezra is now unusable in the Meta without GLAT and those zeta mats could be re-allocated to other characters

Agreed. I also think Rey/Ezra was a problem, and fixing it seems reasonable. (Though I'd rather CG find ways to box characters out of Rey teams rather than boxing them into one specific team or faction only.)

But the time to fix things like this is within a few months, like they did with Satele (though again, I wish their fix was less restrictive). Not 3 years, in Merrin's case, or even 1.5 years, in Ezra's. That's plenty of time for people to assume that CG sees what's happening and is fine with it. People built up whole teams on this assumption.

That's just bad management of the game. And probably bad testing, since it would have occurred to almost everyone besides CG that Ezra might be a menace with Rey. (Likewise, didn't they never think to test Satele with Rey or Wat?)

The rework isn't the problem regarding Ezra in my opinion. Makes no sense to be used with Rey.

The rework for Merrin makes 0 sense. She has been in the game for 3 years and the only reason they touched that character is because she could take down Jabba in GAC.

This reasoning creates a problem for customers. Bo-Katan, Baylan, Aphra, Great Mothers, Starkiller, Stranger and many more characters, and associated characters can be used to take down GLs in various game modes. Investing in these and future characters is risky at best now since they may change it on a whim.

The biggest issue with these changes is that they did not take ANYTHING into account what players have done to get these characters and their associated squad members.

Zetas, Omicrons, Relics, Mods, time spent, crystals spent, money spent for Ezra and Merrin - only Omicrons and Relics are refunded. Then you have these same factors for 4 units used with Merrin, and 4 units used with Ezra (or more) that were completely ignored when they decided to compensate us.

Correct way would have been to refund zetas, omicrons and relics and not nerf Ezra and Merrin. It's not that difficult. I would have been happy with that.
