Are you seriously saying that every time a new patch comes along you don't touch anything until you've read the patch notes? Nothing at all? You've not even once thought "I won't read the forum post for this new character as it's a lot more fun to discover a new character's potential in-game"?
How about for all your other games or is this the only one where you have to read the patch notes first?

I appreciate some people are annoyed but I think the annoyance is unjustified in this particular instance.

Well I'm not going to complain about this, but have to say that I find the situation said and funny at the same time. I don't understand people who click on something before paying attention and reading what they are actually buying - and that has nothing to do with having seen the patch note or not! It only has to do with concentration and mindfulness, which nowadays is a big problem especially for a lot of younger people. Reading a book from time to time can help to calm down the mind ;) .
Enjoy your (undeserved) rewards, I am not grudging, but my biggest concern (as someone else has mentioned before) is that this solution could lead to a future abuse, people trying to get more free stuff and refunds, reasonable or not.

How is it "ill-gotten gains" when it was given by the official support after I clearly and accurately described the situation?
Anyway, I wouldn't really mind if they decided it was a mistake and took it away, it was much more than I expected.

No, there's no point in wasting. If they wanted me to have a chromium, they could have given it directly. Or an appropriate number of shards, which I actually suggested in the ticket.

So you beg for something like a spoiled child and when given it you do not use the payment to the asked for purpose. I call that ill-gotten crystals.

By my math, this is about $2-3 worth of crystals. Is that game changing or really worth the time to fight over?

I went through the process, and just to put some people's minds at ease...

It took me approximately 10 minutes on hold with an EA phone rep (they called me after I entered the ticket.) Unless you're making minimum wage, the $2.50 in crystals is worth far less than the time spent on the phone. Honestly, had I known I'd spend that long on the phone over it, I probably would have done without.

@Nauros random process is random. Customer service willy nilly hands out crystals for random stuff. I did not get a chromium pack, or the equivalent number of crystals. I did have fun with pointing out their hipocrisy, so time well spent!
