Add an inventory please!

I think your point kind of makes itself redundant. If you're just looking for a random piece that no character needs, why would you farm it?

And if you ARE trying to get something specific for the future, like preparing to gear a character to multiple levels, then you are undeniably going to need a list of the gear they need. Use swgoh.gg, look up the unit, and click the gear list. It even tells you where to find those pieces, and I've used this technique multiple times with units like DTMG and Bane.

Yeah, I know that. But these are basic-tools, which you don't find directly in the game, which is a shame. It's not even possible to look up how many peaces of a certain gear you already have, if it doesn't show up on one of your characters. 

I mean, you could theoretically use the Scavenger. But no, that's not a simple fix.

Easy enough. The game counts your gear peaces, it simply doesn't show them. Add a search function to Scavanger f. ex. or a find search option per colour-code, since the higher the level of a certain peace is, it uses different colours .... There would be ways enough. Or integrate it in your character menu as a preview function, the same way as swgoh.gg does it. That's not at all complicated. 

I mean, the game is getting bigger and bigger. At least one new toon every two weeks. We have hundreds of toons now. Thousands of mods. Dozens of alignments and so on.... We urgently need better tools to manage all this better. There isn't even a function to sort anything alphabetically or by relic level. That's just stupid.
