AHSOKA based Thrawn Leader buff: Buff Idea explained

Idea (this is in addition to his leader ability):

If Thrawn has at least one nightsister ally, he gains the imperial remnant tag. All empire allies gain 1 stack of Plague at the start of battle and when nightsister allies begin their turn; Plague no longer blocks allied debuff clears. Plague dispels at the end of every ally's turn. Nightsister allies gain the empire tag/receive Thrawn's leader bonuses. Using Maneuver gives all other allies Plague.


  • This buff/rework is built on the fact that in Thrawn's Lead: Allies gain 20% turn meter when inflicted or attempted to be inflicted with a debuff. And every time a status effect is added or removed all allies gain 2% protection.


What this does


  • Thrawn's leader ability gives turn meter whenever a debuff is inflicted, Plauge being added systematically gives a built in turn meter boost.
  • We have removed the negative part of Plauge given it goes directly against this kit and Thrawn's kit design. This subsequently makes him a good Nightsister counter.
  • Thrawn gains the Imperial Remnant Tag, whenever a Nightsister ally is present, this opens him up to Imperial Remnant coordination, specifically Scout Trooper and Emperor's Trap.
  • This makes Moff Gideon viable in coordination with Scout Trooper to gain more turn meter and he is just fast, in a team about going fast.
  • Whenever an ally gains or loses a status effect, they recover 2% protection.
  • Between Plague and Emperor's Trap, this gives a decent amount of protection regen, every turn double on nightsister turns.




I have purposefully kept it so this change would still allow empire teammates

  • Scout trooper: "Should" Gives Emperor's trap on every empires allies turn. This translates into protection regen. Please rework CG, noticed while typing that she has two limits on her Emperor's Trap, doesn't even work with DTMG.
  • Moff Gideon- used in coordination with Scout Trooper for Turn meter manipulation
  • Magma trooper: Whenever Plague is inflicted this will take Magma Trooper to 90% turn meter
  • Admiral Piett: The Emperor's Trap on every Empire allies turn, this will turn into protection regen.


Nightsister allies

  • Merrin is the most likely to be added to this comp, Merrin has REALLY good turn meter gain and protection regen with this team
  • Alternatively, you could go for the fastest nightsister which I believe is Nightsister Spirit, this then allows use to give team turn meter more often.


New characters who could be added:


  • Morgan Elsbeth-Nightsister who could be more carefully built into this kit
  • UnDeath troopers-Give the other Nightsisters something to revive

While writing this I noticed something. Why doesn't Scout Trooper's "The Emperor's Trap," stack on empire allies turns? Seriously looking at it now, being limited to Imperial Trooper is too limited. This team wouldn't even need to touch Piett if Scout Trooper's ET, wasn't so limited. Heck, even DTMG doesn't have the Imperial Trooper tag, really gonna punish a team for having a conquest character, MADE FOR THE TEAM? It already has the limitation of the leader having to be Imperial Remnant.
