Any advice on mod farming?

I'm trying to farm mods in anticipation of the event, but it's a grind. I also have not unlocked threepio. What is the best way to get speed mods and offense mods?

buy the ones with speed secondary from the mod store if you can
buy the ones with speed secondary from the weekly conquest store
farm them from the 5* speed node, spend 50 crystal refresh 3 times, do not spend 100 for a refresh
keep only what has speed as a secondary. upgrade them and put only the very high speed mods on your most used toons.
Keep only blue, purple and gold mods from farming, sell the grey and green. you can keep green if there is a speed secondary on it, but just know it will only upgrade a few times and you may not get it optimized to 30 like your competitors.
