I want to clarify what I was asking and how I write.
I tend to write in a straightforward style. That sometimes brings out very confident responses, which is just how things go. There’s no hidden meaning beyond what’s written.
My post was asking whether the company might be going out of business. I listed a few things I was noticing that made me wonder. I briefly mentioned AI, not as a claim, but more as a question about possible disruption. Games seem harder to fold into the AI space, so it was speculation, not a conclusion; but opportunity remains where we cannot see. It can be captivating.
I’ve been looking at this as a game, something to enjoy. But when you can’t really use much of the gear or characters you’ve paid for—through time investment, earned in-game resources, or actual money, and then get pointed to third party sites for subscriptions just to access basic info, it starts to feel more like a lifestyle commitment and less like gameplay.
That’s the larger point I was making. I want to be able to play the game, to PLAY it. But perhaps I need to reframe: I need to manage my investment.
