The Yoda event is a bad example - they nerfed it first, when everyone complained it was too hard. THEN they tweaked it later.
Here's the thing - as the game progresses as a whole and diiferent factions are reworked to become stronger, have better synergies, mods, players rosters get stronger, the events are "tweaked", have harder bonus levels added, etc., so that those who have been playing a while still find the content fun and challenging. The lower tier(s) are still fairly easy to beat with a strong, well geared and well modded team - which is even easier now, with 100% mod drop rates.
