@Azertonn I wanted to be clear about something: I loved this game. To the point where I played every day and stopped playing my other games because of it. I genuinely enjoyed it. I haven't commented negatively at all before now and even remained willfully ignorant when things got crazier and crazier.
Still loved it.
Now, when I first saw the mods I thought it was cool. A great way to toughen up toons that needed it; a "self-buff", if you will. We control who and how we upgrade them. So we run the mod nodes. No big deal. Then there are mod challenges, again, no big de... Wait, what? You need specific teams to farm these higher level mods? Which means you have to pump resources (that are already limited) into toons you aren't going to use on a routine basis? So we have no control after all.
So now, I have to use my credits to upgrade toons for mod challenges, which takes away resources for me to mod my other toons, which makes me fall behind when I have to face a super Rey, rg, what have you, in GW or arena, and in turn, lose out on OTHER resources that would allow me to strengthen my team.
I feel "bait and switched" due to that fact. It's not an improvement. And furthermore, if things will balance out, and everything will be the same again, why the power increase? It's going in circles , without addressing what others have been voicing for months: balance. It's a diversion all activity to farm these mods.
just wanted to share. This post/thread was about being saddened that the game has gone in this direction. I'm not hating to hate. I hate "hating" this series of events.
