I've noticed those who think Barriss is OP are the ones who don't understand how she works or how to counter her, and those who think she is weak are the ones who do get it.
Speaking from my own experience that's how it was for me too. When I first encountered Barriss and knew nothing about her, seeing her heal go through heal immunity made me immediately think it was a bug. But then I worked out how the heal worked and fought her accordingly and now think she's not much of a threat at all.
