I believe r3, 5 and 7 you see the biggest jumps. R3 is easy and costs relatively nothing and is good for most toons. R5 you see a big jump IMO and R7 is R7. Depending on the category of the toon it could mean a win or extra phase completed. Tanks get really tanky, Offense is huge for attackers with the boost in damage, crit chance and special damage. Most of my toons are between r3 and r5. some toons like GAS, the GLs and JKL you absolutely need them r7 to compete against other top tier teams. Malak is a beast at r7 as well.
