Wiggs is still a very good combo. Unfortunately for the players who aren't yet at a point in the game where they can easily beat them, others are. Because of this a nerf is not warrented. Players who are still struggling with wiggs should take comfort in knowing that it will pass and they will be able to beat them fairly easy somewhere down the line.
A very good combo is the understatement of the century at lower levels. Since Wiggs is so easy to get why aren't the counters as easy to get. And why should players wait months before they actually became counters. For example why TFP can apply ability block only after level 78 but Wiggs can oneshoot from day one.
And how much comfort can be taken with the notion that they can be beaten somewhere down the line when: Firstly by then top players will either use the new meta or Wiggs + Chaze.
Secondly they will amass thousands of crystals and arena tokens more using an UNFAIR advantage ( unless your solution is that 100% of players use the same team)
Thirdly lossing gets old pretty soon, especially when isn't caused by lack of effort or commitment, and only because you choose to use any other available toon in the game except those toons.
Yup, many people are max level and far along. I like how people are acting as if farming zetas are an ideal way way of countering them. It takes a long time to farm zetas, particularly if you have a long way to go with ships to unlock the challenge. I also like how people are telling you to use Palpatine, or characters like Baze, and Shore, which are not obtainable without spending tons of money. Some of the shards are too young to even have them unlocked, and those that do is like 3 or 4* at best.
The point is that Wedge, and Biggs are strong against many teams, and it shouldn't require one of a few specific characters to counter them successfully, and the counters do not go outside 1 or 2 factions. It is also a very long farm for teams or characters to counter Wedge, and Biggs. EVen shards that are well over 6 months are still dominating with Wedge and Biggs combos. (about 40/50) in my August/July 2016 shard. To me that says there is a problem, when there are so many characters and factions to choose from.
However, nothing will likely be done at this point in toning down their power, so it is best to begin one of the long farms to counter them. I'm finally benching my Droids for an Empire/Sith team, but it is a very long farm to get them to T10/11, and ready. My Droids are all T11.
