@Jetlife yes you have the shards for a 7* character, but as I said many times, almost everyone is worthless until you G10 them. Although you have shards, you are absolutely not being given a free toon to use. By any stretch. You have another toon to sit there in your collection and gather dust, but if you're at endgame, you arent using him. If you do actually want to gear bistan which won't be many, then good for you, it's a nice little bonus, you can have him a little quicker. the pain is still in gear. And otherwise, for everyone not using him the 'free toon' is meaningless. Shards are nothing.
Like I said it'll cost you a huge amount of the little gear you get, or about £40 to upgrade him to being usable.
@Plokoon187 you are talking to someone who used shoretrooper and b2 at 3* and 4* g8 for a month taking first in arena at almost 15k power deficit. Almost all characters are useless before g10 (certainly these ones).
EP has an aoe stun, and one of the best leaders. And exclusively the most powerful debuff. Why have you not upgraded him is the question.
Toons need to be g10. Gear is the grind.
It's not about any personal preference, I'm not even 'crying' (im not saying and it's not even possible to think this is unfair) I'm just telling you, getting 7* bistan is useless, ea has given you nothing with the pack, don't be thankful for the 'gift', don't be thankful to ea. If you can't see this you are not far enough in the game. Regardless of how far you are, if you think ea is being generous in any way you are very gullible. Not thank you, not kindness, just a little bit more shard trash that you cannot gear and use in the game.
@WrathofCaedus indeed. I don't want to upgrade bistan and waste the precious little gear you get, so it literally contains nothing. I said initially I would literally trade all the shards we get for 3 of those blue droid callers. You can get 5 in a single sim of that challenge so that should let people know the free bistan is worthless.
@pargame yes I am with you bro. But it's difficult to not answer when random people who don't know anything about anything Say stuff like you were raised badly as a kid especially because they don't know what they're talking about with the game. If they are rude they need to be shown they don't know what they're talking about.
Whales want all but it can't take too long to get bistan through fleet shop, especially with refresh.
Look there are some people who this will help somewhat, not massively, as all toons need to be G10, and gear is the only grind, but it will help some people, a little. like those who actually want bistan, or need another 7* for palpatine. But if you aren't at the stage where only g10 matters, you aren't very far. Apart from those who somehow think it's a good idea to gear bistan, this is useless for the real players who are playing properly and want to gear and make fun teams and can't because of the gear wall. Great for those players who aren't far and need a 7*, it's a minor little gift, but for all the people playing the game properly (surely the ones who deserve an actual 'gift' the most), having Bistan shards means nothing. Its just a bit of an insult. It's a minor little annoyance that you are giving me something useless that I can't use. Hey, got 10 characters you 'farmed' and can't use already? Have another one. And they know this is what they're doing too. Gear is the wall, it must be by far the biggest money maker for the game, they know full well I can't use him. I don't believe they would be giving it to me if I could actually use it (hence why it's not a gift). They've not given me anything I can use before, they haven't now, why would I think they would ever? And then everyone on the forum says it's a nice gift and aww thanks ea, it's nothing of the sort, it's trash.
It's certainly not a free character like everyone says. If I actually got bistan to use for free, I'd be pretty happy. It takes a long time to get the gear for a character to be usable in this game (and it will get longer, the longer the game runs). Getting a free character to use would be incredible, I appreciate that more than anyone, as I know how long the gear grind takes. But I cannot use him, I haven't been given anything of value, there's no point in this.
I don't want something else (other than more gear), I don't want any gifts (other than gear), I'm perfectly happy with being given no shards of anyone and just playing the game. But we haven't been given anything of any value, so everyone should stop acting like this is nice of them when it is useless. I don't want to complain about whatever gift we got or I wanted something else or whatever, I just want to call a spade a spade, and say that the pack is worthless for pretty much any player, and is not an act of generosity in any way.
For the majority of players, there is nothing good about having shards for bistan, don't be happy about it. Again, I would trade all my bistan shards for 1 stun cuff salvage.
