Brutal GAC final round matchups

Seems like leagues work as intended.

I am a division 4 player and am in the opposite situation from OP. Having gone 2-7 so far, I have been matched up with division 3 opponents that have had roughly 300-500k more character gp than myself. For the final gac round, and looking at my opponents, I should easily win the final round. I assume I am going up against players with a similar record so far in gac.

well you only played 9 people before out of many players that you could have been matched up with....there's a lot of luck involved in match-ups.

I believe what is happening is that by this last round, Aurodium League has finally produced a smaller matchmaking pool, consisting of the top players.

The problem is that the matchmaker does not appear to pay any attention to ranking within a League so you have a pool like mine with player ranks ranging from 213 to 8,040. Clearly that pairing would not be a good match.

True, my observation is similar, my pool of 8 is all over the place inside the league, it seems just concerned with matching top X gp as close as possible in the league.

Mine started getting much more serious during the last GA, honestly. It went from ppl who matched with me, but didn't care enough to focus the gac metas, to every person having all of em, and mods to match. I expect this week to be very difficult. I'm always the lowest gp of the 8, but I dunno how it's gonna go yet. It'll be fun tho.

This is exactly how it's supposed to work. The matches get harder as you get closer to the top.

This is the first time I've seen another Malak in my bracket, and I'm interested to see how that guy will play it.
