Can someone tell me how the door's cooldown works?(rancor raid tier VI)

Each time a new squad goes in you're picking up where the last one left off. So if the cool down finishes as your team gets wiped it will be ready when you return. If it's still cooling when they get eaten it will still be cooling when you come back.
