Can we get another shard shop exclusive toon?

They better not. How fun would it be for yet another highly revered character in the SW universe like say, Revan, General Kenobi, Jango, or even Padme were reserved for only the whales?

I think they should cut GG shard cost in half and then introduce a new shop exclusive character. Repeat this pattern every few (6 maybe?) months.

It's not only for whales. Take my case for example. There was only one toon in cantina battles that I really wanted ( the rest in arena shipments etc. ) and he was immediately available in level one nodes. As you can imagine, I was able to max him at a reasonable rate. Now, since there are no other toons in cantina that I really want, I just keep hitting the same node for extra shard shop bank. Surely I can't be the only one saving some extra shards. Or am I?

I think adding another shard shop exclusive toon would give some players something to look forward to and something to keep playing for. You know... A goal.

There are 75 toons other than GG. I doubt I will waste time trying to save up for him until I have the others and have them at 7*. If for no reason other than we never know when someone will become the next big thing. Look at how RG went from one of the worst to one of the must haves.

Yeah I'm not saving for GG either. But I also don't feel the need to have all other 70+ toons. I have a small target group I'm targeting and focusing on. Maybe pick up an odd extra here an there if/when the opportunity arises. But right now, as far as cantina goes, I have what I want and all battles from this point are just extra shard shop bank.

Cutting his price in half would piss a lot of people off lol, I can't see that happening

Well yes, it can be argued that Shard Shop exclusives aren't exactly "reserved" per se for whales, but it is quite evident that it is only a worthwhile investment for the game's big spenders.
Regarding a point you mentioned, there is, in fact, a F2P player who unlocked GG at 4* a few weeks back... but at what cost? Is it really worth the investment (sacrificing the farming of essential gear/additional character shards)? Quite frankly, the answer is no.
There are much better alternatives available regarding the unlocking of iconic toons. The Yoda event is a prime example of this. It has also been revealed that more events akin to Yoda's are to be implemented in the future, which, in my opinion, is a step in the right direction.
But to answer your original question, yes, as much I hate to admit it, it's likely we are to see the inclusion of additional exclusive toons in the Shard Shop. As another had already mentioned, perhaps one additional toon every few months.
EA's gotta cater to the big dogs somehow, right? o:)
