That's true, and understandable for players still learning ship mechanics; it can take a while to study the fight and determine a strategy.
But for experienced players who already know each ship's abilities and a kill order, the fact it's still timing out is questionable.
Then again, most of my draws have been vs Mace, so maybe it is working as intended since Mace is the "defensive specialist"?
Either way, losing a draw when your opponent has one ship left and you have victory all but guaranteed is certainly frustrating.
