Well, for what it's worth, I'm not sure any stacks of Shred beyond 4 do anything. Each stack is -25% and I don't think Defense can go negative.

Also, are you allowing him to absorb the Crit Immunity tank? If you don't, he'll fear you every time you land a crit which makes it basically impossible to kill him before he drains you to death.
