I have 2 7 star teams, and will shortly have 3. All with gear 8 or 9, and two with gear 10. How does one get a whole team with mod slots filled with MK5, to put on their 7 star gear 10 & 11 toons? And why the heck do I have to fight them for only 0.0666666667% of 1 Grievous shard if I get lucky!?!
Lots of people had stockpiles of crystals. When mods landed it was obvious you had to fully kit out your arena team with L15 MK5 health mods at a mininum, then work from there. I burned through quite a few more refreshes but it was worth it. As a F2P I must finish GW and come top 2 in Arena to remain competitive.
The game gets easier once you have say 5-6 7* teams. The first 3-4 nodes are turn meter fillers for later battles. Lose a Leia? Bring in a GS with 75% turn meter in.
