OutrunWhistle how did that one girl bleed the kyber crystal? Why did that one Jedi commit you know what? Why are the Jedi unaware of previous sith activity at the time of the phantom menace? What is up with this “only use lightsaber if they have intent to kill” nonsense?
there’s more, this is just what I could think of off the top of my head. If you genuinely think it has no plot holes, then I’m not sure we watched the same show. also, you say sol was cool as if he exhibited any of the qualities of a high republic Jedi, like what?

Anger. The actress didn't portray much emotion, but to say she was steamed would be a gross understatement. Just because the Sith made it a ritual doesn't mean the crystal wouldn't pick up on her emotions through direct contact, which would reasonably be more potent than it would be without physical contact.

Years of pent-up guilt.

Because everyone who knew about the Stranger ended up dead, with the exception of Vernestra, who actively covered it up. This one is the most obvious one it physically hurts that people aren't bothering to get it.

Different times, different rules. Height of peace era and all that. Makes more sense for Jedi to be encouraged not to use their weapons unless absolutely necessary. This isn't the prequel era.

Sol was cool as a character because he felt real and the actor killed it. You do know he learnt English just for the role? Honestly, that kind of passion from the actors, namely him and the Stranger, is something missing from a lot of Disney star wars in recent years.
Occam's Razor. If you can apply a reasonable explanation, apply it.

I would argue that my problem with it was less the plot holes, but more the grey blob of morality it paraded around with. Master sol exhibits generally righteous traits, through saving the innocent and helping the hurt, but then proceeds to be blapped by the show basically saying he did wrong. The jedi in this show are put out as this "righteous" group that is actually evil because they train kids. It almost feels like a trauma dump from the director about the supposedly "good" real life Christianity. It's very clear that most of the themes in the show were just a play by play of the directors own problems in her life. (Lgbtq, religion, politics and so on)
Anyways sorry for the diatribe.
