Chewie rework idea.

First make him OG, Not Clonewars. Give him Raid Han and scoundrel Synergy to make them more relevant.

Chewie should get his own unique buff like Boba. Wookie Rage. Give him a taunt that grants him offense up counter and advantage for the duration of the taunt. This taunt lasts for 1 turn and cannot be dispelled. Zeta ability 2 turn taunt and add crit immunity and tenacity up.

I think if you did a synergy with either han. Make it so han has crit immunity that can't be removed as long as chewie is alive. Then chewie has when han is damaged by an enemy chewie gains taunt and gains retribution.

That's why it would be pretty useless til he gets his zeta

And his main synergy could be with a toon that takes a long time to get.

Chewie is really slow. Giving him a taunt that can't be dispelled for one turn would be game changing for a lot of early players

I have a maxed Chewie and I like @Olddumper idea. I still use him on my B team.

He is really slow but also has TMR which will make the taunt seem shorter. It will be hilarious, when you mod Chewie no speed and no potency.

Chewy Should not have a countered tied to his taunt. Instead allow him to counter anytime an ally is attacked, but only when he's not taunting.

Chewbacca is an iconic character in the Star Wars universe, I believe this small addition to his character will be great to see.

He doesn't need a rework. He's filler and familiar face for the beginner and not that interesting enough toon anyway, same could be said for the ewok and the JC you start with.
