Yeah, fair, that's a big part of it. People are such total babies about any level of challenge that they'll just give up the second they perceive any chance of losing. It's more comforting to throw up your hands and claim matchmaking is broken than to face the possibility that you might do your best and still lose.

While there are players like that, your blanket characterization of everyone that dislikes the changes the MM algo says more about you than it does about them.
I have yet to see a single person complain about matchmaking for a legit reason that boils down to anything other than "I don't have the advantage so it must be broken." Show me ONE and I'll happily recant.
Matchmaking especially cross division can prevent players from reaching kyber even if they go undefeated and do all feats.
Luckily devs said they were looking at removing cross division which would fix the biggest problem with matchmaking which is that sometimes matchmaking causes people to have different max scores than their competition (within their division)
