Gonzaga has a great year and only loses 1 game. Their reward is a a first round game against Kentucky. They lose in overtime. Second round they get Duke. The pull off an upset win. Third round they are stuck playing Kansas and lose on a last second shot. They were winning until one of their starters fouled out after consecutive bad calls from the officials. Kansas had a starter foul out too, but they have 10 great players compared to 5 on Gonzaga. Their reward is a sack of.... rocks.
Maryland State University has has an enrollment of 55 thousand students but stinks at sports and can’t beat anyone in the ACC. They beat Knob Bottom College, Valley Lick, Frumunda Mountain University for the championship. They get new cars, dates with cheerleaders, and pots of gold.
