Worth gearing? I will soon have both Rex and sergeant 7* And sergeant is at g8 currently is he worth throwing the resources into with Rex lead?

hes my favorite toon. im not end game yet but i run 5's, Rex, CS, QGJ, and Lando in Arena.
I have rex lead, and when he assists 5's I can take wedge out before they get off a shot due to his TM reduction.
His assists with QGJ or 5's are pretty awesome.
