And you are not scoring high enough on tier 2 to earn a reward probably also. Not getting rewarded for progress seems counterintuitive to this game. 

Same here.  If it stays like this it would mean 8 more days with no lvl 1 rewards or level up Luke.  Wow, exciting.

Same for me and i can not even do any damage in tier 2 right now to get any rewards.

yeap the tier one rewards would have let me finally level up luke I can't see any reason for the change apart from because I might have been able to level up

Even with beta testers, CG's concern for quality and a functioning game aren't a priority.  They had the opportunity to let their beta testers give coliseum a go and they kept it from them.  Another decision by someone at CG who's gone full EA.
