Conquest Hard Mode

For conquest hard mode, it states you have to beat normal mode before attempting hard mode. Is that just one time or you have to go through Normal each time before getting to do hard?

I was wondering this as well. It would make sense it would be a beat it once, you can get to hard node from there on because it would seem odd to make everyone go through both each time.
