I get it, some of the bonuses are BS, and sometimes one or two of my undergeared characters will melt before I get a turn. So I do know where you're coming from.
But also, at about your GP, or maybe at 6 mil or so, I was getting through hard Conquest fine. I get the second-to-last crate with only 5–6 fully reliced teams. So 10–12 full R5–7 teams should be plenty to get the job done. So I think the issue may be your matchups and data disks? A few tips:
- OR and Canderous: I think CLS works fine (stun Cand with Han, clear taunt, kill Cand); their resists just fuel your TM. Or JKR (starting tenacity up, mark down Cand). Or DR (Malak gives fear to stop their train, dots don't bother him).
- Ewoks: Use teams that don't attack out of turn. DR is overkill, Traya punishes their assists, and EP without Mara can still get a train going. Or use teams/characters that are immune to stun, like Jabba (if you have him) or JML (if you have him), JKL, JKR, and JKCK.
- Data disks:
- To not die: Fortified (defense plus TM), Entrenched (protection up), Protection shield (recover protection on hit), Vitality (health and protection)
- To get a turn: Fortified and Solid Intel (both give you reactive TM on hit)
- To win quickly: Weak Spot/Point (quickly ramping offense), Zealous Ambition (supports/healers become monster hitters). Really, these can get insane; I end up having to take them off to farm feats. Some people also swear by Caustic Emissions/Volatile Accelerator builds to just survive and watch the other team die from dots.
With energy refreshes, I can get hard Conquest done in about a week by using my viable teams 2–3 times a day to space out their stamina. If there are other specific teams or challenges you're having trouble with, ask away.
