CT-7567 "Rex" - Rework Idea
Hey there everyone,
Writing reworks for our beloved and fabled Captain Rex of the 501st Legion!
Rex is the most loved and famous Clone Trooper and has had a Huge impact on audiences of all ages who have come to love his unique traits. A highly skilled and free-thinking Clone Trooper, Rex was known for his unorthodox but effective ways of combat. Always on the frontline and thinking of his brothers, Rex is a guardian in the field of battle. He has served as the Second-in-command to fabled Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, perfectly synergizing with his unique ways of thinking. He is also one of the few Clones who removed his inhibitor-chip prior to Order 66 thanks to Fives' discoveries and assisted Ahsoka in staying alive. He is later visited by the Ghost Crew where he meets Ahsoka again after a long time and greatly assists the new Rebellion in their fight against the tyrannical Empire.
CT-7567 Captain "Rex" Rework
1) Impeding Shot (Basic Ability) /Omega/
Deal physical damage to target enemy and remove 30% turn meter. If any turn meter is removed this way, attack again without removing any turn meter.
2) Squad Discipline (Remain as it is) - perfectly fine abillity
3) Subdue (Special Ability) CD:3 /Omega/
Deal physical damage to target and bonus pure damage equal to 30% of the target's maximum health. Also Daze the target for 2 turns which cannot be resisted.
4) Brothers in Arms (Leader Ability) /ZETA/
Clone allies gain +30% max health, +35% Tenacity and gain 15% turn meter whenever any ally suffers a Critical Hit. Other allies gain half of these bonuses. Clone allies also recover 5% Protection and gain 5% turn meter whenever they resist a detrimental status effect.
Stat Changes:
Base Speed increased by 8.
Change Gear to either focus more on Agillity instead of providing a mediocre amount of both Tactics and Agillity.
Change primary attribute to Agillity.
The Leader abillity at Omega level will look like:
Clone allies gain +25% max health and +25% Tenacity and gain 15% turn meter whenever a Clone ally is critically hit.
The Zeta bonus therefore gives: +5% max health, +10% Tenacity and recover 5% Protection and turn meter whenever they resist a detrimental effect.
Although some people might argue that Rex's leader abillity is fine, it still provides little stats and needs to be improved to better suit Clone troopers. The bonuses received prior affect non-Clone units still the same as before (half of the value), so it isn't completely overpowered.
His Basic supports a double attack that increases Rex's damage output.
