The lead dev Not Really A Jedi flat out said SW is a story about Rebels and a Rebellion in reference to the LS / DS imbalance discussion so ... don't hold your breath. At least DS has ship arena - character though it's going to be NS holding it down for as long as they can until some generic Resistance character is just too OP for even them to work.
