- Sid was pretty much irrelevant before the change. Now, more so.
- Darth Sidious (health: 10887+9000; speed: 161; basic damage: 2956; AOE ability damage: 3436; physical critical rate: 718; potency: 0%; leadership equavalent to +19% team offense)
Rey (health: 11410+10000; speed: 164; basic damage: 6032; special damage: 10223; physical critical rate: 648)
Captain Phasma (health: 20022+20000; speed: 121; basic damage: 3178; special: +50% team turn meter plus team Advantage; physical critical rate: 381+ Self-Advantage; leader ship equavalent to +20-40% team offense plus bonus effect of assisting attack)
First of all, I think Darth Sidius was good in December 2015, where level cap was 60, because at that time, every toon has much lower health and much lower damage comparing with those of every toon now, where Darth Sidious can kill as well as survive with regeneration from Sadistic Glee; but now that level cap is 80 and fortified health is introduced, where many toons deal heavy damage and have much more health, where Darth Sidious can neither kill nor survive with regeneration from Sadistic Glee. So I think Darth Sidious needs re-work in order to be relevant in current meta.
Secondly, I think many would agree that Damage Over Time from AOE ability of Darth Sidious as well as Damage Over Time in general have always been of little impact in battle and is especially so in current meta, thus needs re-work.
Thirdly, with the introduction of fortified health, not only can Rey still OHKO many toons, but also Rey has more health to survive more attacks from other toons, which makes you wonder the purpose of the existence of those toons that can be killed easily that meanwhile can not stop opponent toons, such as Darth Sidious and many other irrelevant toons. So I think Darth Sidious and many other irrelevant toons need a serious improvement so that they may be equivalent in usefulness to that of Rey.
(Of course, if most heroes are equally good, less player will pay for acquiring good heroes any more, but that is not the case here because the majority of heroes are less than competent against popular heroes of current meta.)
At last, I think many would agree that in a strategy game, if one is superior in every aspect to another, the existence of the latter becomes pointless.
For leader spot, Captain Phasma's leader ability is superior to that of many other PvP toons, such as that of Darth Sidious, that of IG88, that of Poggle, that of Darth Maul...etc., which defeat the purposes of the leader abilities of those other PvP toons. So I think leader abilities of toons need re-balance. - Captain P, for the turn meter manipulation and the extra assists from her leader ability.
- Phasma. I love her as leader. But I tried something this morning that was interesting. Sid in the leader. Phasma beside him. Rey, GS, Ventress. Granted this was just a cantina battle for fun. But after Phasma's offense up buff, with Sid's crit damage increase...for those rounds of turns...serious pain was dished out lol
