I thought I'd try something new this Conquest, so I nabbed a Debuff Dismantler in S1. However, several battles in, it does not appear to have proc'd one time. I have the Offensive Buffs disk as well, so I am definitely gaining tons of buffs. And in my first two S2 battles, I've already gotten the "Gain 100 buffs" feat. And yet, not once have I noticed my buffs being dispelled nor have I seen the little symbol that indicates a Mastery increase.It's possible I missed some buffs getting dispelled, but I am near certain I haven't gotten any toons with that Mastery increase symbol. Is there something I'm missing? Anyone else have this issue?

We’ll, it is unclear if you need debuffs to be dispelled in order to get the mastery increased. It says “and” so is dispelling debuffs a prerequisite to gaining the mastery or does it mean that there’s a 30% chance of debuff dispel “and/or/also” mastery increase? The wording would seem to make the dispel a prerequisite…but also: CG, so…??

@Kyno Would you be willing to ask how this works, since it has now come up. A reasonable reading would say that there's a 30% chance of gaining mastery whenever you gain a buff, but another reasonable reading is that this can happen **only if you have a debuff before you gain that buff**. This is pretty crucial, since with, say, the auto buff disks (gain 3 buffs/turn) you gain all the buffs without any chance to gain new debuffs in between. So if the 30% procs on the first buff, all debuffs are cleansed and you have a 0% chance on subsequent buffs to gain mastery (since you no longer have debuffs to cleanse). I've been wondering for a while now how it's supposed to work, and I'd love a clarification.

It'd be nice if the blue icon for mastery showed up for this too.

I'm with everybody else- Pay Kyno. You're doing actual work that's adding value to their product, you should be compensated for it.

The only thing I worry about is you disappearing once you're added to the payroll, seems to be something that happens at CG...

I hope this helps clarify that ability. I have not heard back on if it is not working, so if anyone can share on that front maybe we can get this sorted.

Wait, that menas that you can increase Mastery even if you don't have debuffs on?

Thats awesome! I've been passing on this one because I thought debuffs were a prerequisite to getting the mastery increase. It's even better than it sounded.
