Dedra Meero's retaliation on basic missing in Coliseum?

Maybe I am missing something. 

Dedra's basic in my era toon view of her basic skill mentions she gains retaliate if the enemy she attacked was already exposed which she should have done on the prior attack with a basic. 

When I logged into coliseum to try and farm retaliates  with basic auto, it is missing from her basic's description in the event. Auto basic yielded no counts towards the feat of the day.
