Developing for raids - still worth it?

I feel like the general consensus has been that if your guild is close to the next box, upgrade enough teams to get to it - otherwise start working on teams for the next raid so you'll be in a better spot when it drops and get a better return on your investment. For my guild, we're just encouraging people to work on teams for the speeder bike raid - there's only so much progress to be made before Krayt reaches it's sell by date.

If CG continues to give us an early heads-up about what characters will be allowed in the next raid, I think that gives us a comfortable margin to work with and get more use out of the flavor-of-the-raid characters.
