I was trying to brainstorm some way of fixing it with the utilizing the whole roster mantra. What if in every TB you could do every phase all at one time, but you could only use every squad 1x. So that would be 11x5 or 55 light side characters (not sure if there's enough ships 4x5=20)...every territory could maintain the same set up and depending on how successful your squads were in each battle, you would gain bonuses for the next stage. Some players under a time crunch could run the table and finish off their whole TB, while others could wait as their guild mates gain the bonuses helping them in the later stages of battle...
I guess an example is stage 1, I use 1 squad to fight the snowtroopers, etc... it could be my ewok squad. Much like the platoon system for every battle out of 6 I win, my guild gets a bonus for stage 2 (could be the same bonuses like % defense, daze, dispel debuffs). All the guild has the ability to fight the same battle to get more of a bonus (however many are completed out of 300 total from full guild participation). So after stage 1 my ewoks are retired and I have to move onto stage 2 (phoenix, jedi, etc) until the final epic ending.
Anything else you can think of adding? Like how to maintain special missions....could be the same requirements but they have to fight a wampa or atst?
